About Me

Hi, I’m Anna, and I’m so happy you’re here!

If you had told me years ago that I’d fall completely in love with crocheting tiny animals, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. What started as a simple curiosity quickly became my favorite creative hobby. The very first time I finished a small crochet animal and stitched on those tiny embroidered features, I was hooked. There was something magical about turning a ball of yarn into a little character with its own personality.

Before long, my yarn basket was overflowing with adorable creations, and I couldn’t stop experimenting with new ideas. I especially fell in love with amigurumi—the art of crocheting cute stuffed toys. There’s just something irresistible about tiny handmade animals that makes me smile every single time.

If you’ve spent any time browsing my designs, you’ve probably noticed I have a bit of an obsession with crochet frogs, adorable axolotls, and all things kawaii. Give me a tiny frog with rosy cheeks, a smiling axolotl, or any cuddly little woodland creature, and I’m happy! I love creating plushies that are full of charm, personality, and just the right amount of cuteness.

That’s exactly why I started Yarned Animals.

I wanted a cozy little corner of the internet where crocheters of every skill level could find fun, approachable, and completely free amigurumi patterns. I know how exciting it is to discover a project that makes you want to grab your favorite hook and start stitching immediately, and I hope that’s exactly how you feel when you visit this blog.

My mission is simple: to make amigurumi enjoyable and accessible for everyone. Whether you’ve never held a crochet hook before or you’ve been making plushies for years, I want my patterns to help you create something you’ll be proud of. Every tutorial is designed to be easy to follow, with clear instructions and helpful guidance so you can crochet with confidence.

Here on Yarned Animals, you’ll find plenty of free crochet patterns, detailed step-by-step tutorials, creative gift ideas, and lots of kawaii plushie inspiration. From tiny pocket-sized animals to cuddly companions and seasonal projects, there’s always something new to discover and make.
